The summer is winding down but there is still time for some warm weather activities and one of the best times to enjoy them is National Night Out. First began in 1984, National Night Out was created to increase awareness of community police programs. Here in Two Creeks we also see it as a great opportunity to meet our neighbors and enjoy a warm summer evening with ice cream and playing at Surfside Spray Park. We will have free ice cream and free water play as well as information available about police programs to help improve the safety of our neighborhood. Neighbors will also have an opportunity to submit NNO related pictures on Facebook (tag lakewoodPDCO) or Twitter (#NNOLakewood2017) for a chance to win a $400 Arlo security camera system. National Night Out is always the first Tuesday in August, August 1st this year. Join us at Surfside from 5:30 to 7:30 for the fun!
This is the last chance to order fruit. If you haven’t already ordered your yummy, juicy peaches or pears this is your chance. Just call Jean Marie Carson at 720-334-9312 to reserve your fruit, then follow up by mailing a check to Fruit Sales, 1015 Jay Street, Lakewood, CO 80214. Remember peaches are $37/case and pears are $25/case. Money from these sales help us to provide community events and help support important charitable organizations in and around our neighborhood.
Check out our Latest News page for instructions on how to order.
